Sol 2: Siege of The Bases
Chapter 1: A New Plan
“I’ve got it!” Raven, a dark haired girl wearing a ninja-like outfit exclaimed, looking at her map. She and two other people- Azure and Sol, were in their old dirty hideout. They had built it themselves not long ago, in the distant place named Mist Island, which was one of the hardest places to get to in the whole of Eternia AND Elvia- the perfect place to build a hideout which ABSOLUTELY could not be discovered- even though it already had been, by the group’s nemesis- The Crimson Organization- an evil organization that made money and power off of war and exploited the best soldiers into doing their bidding- which these few people were trying to take down, as in fact if the Crimson Organization never existed, the war between Eternia and Elvia would have ended years ago.
“Where are Surge and those guys? They were supposed to get the food- I am so hungry I will starve to death soon if they don’t come back in 5 minutes with my pepperoni pizza…” Sol groaned, not contributing to making the plan of how to defeat the Crimson Organization and rescue Felix, his friend that was captured by the organization. “Are you even listening?!” Raven scolded, but Sol was already outside their hideout, looking for Sabrina, Surge and Brock who were supposed to get food. “Anyways, Azure, Sabrina said that the prison where they kept Felix was in one of their separate bases, and that got me thinking,” Raven said, “With this little people, we can never take down the main organization, but Crimson Organization has five smaller bases around both continents, so if we tackle one of the bases at a time, we could take out most of their forces, and the main base would be weak.” “That’s actually a perfect plan! We need to tell Sol and the others right now.” Azure exclaimed. Right then, Sol, Sabrina, Brock, and Surge stormed into the hideout, yelling “We have pizza!” and put down 3 pizzas on the table. “What took you so long?” Azure groaned- he was also extremely hungry, as he hadn’t had a proper meal in days-, “Well once we got to the Pizzeria, there were a bunch of thieves trying to steal money and pizza, so we had to defeat them, and then after we had trouble with a fish monster on the way back.” Sabrina explained. “Well, it’s fine because I have a really good- even slightly wet pizza now!” Sol exclaimed, digging in.
“So, since Mist Island will be blocked up next week, making it unable to enter for a long time, once we leave in 3 days, we won’t be coming back.” Raven explained. “So let’s get packing!” Brock exclaimed, and got his stuff ready. The others also got packing. It would be a long 3 days ahead of them.
Chapter 2: Necromus & Lockdown
3 days later, the team had everything planned out, and finally left their hideout behind. “Wow, it feels like we just got here,” Sol said as they hopped on an old boat to leave Mist Island. “It’s been months already,” Azure pointed out, as they were arriving on shore.
After the group settled down on the pier and got lunch, Raven started to review the plans “To take down more bases faster, we’ll split up into teams. Team Alpha, Sabrina, Brock, and Surge, will head to the Necromus Base. It’s located in the Darkwood forest and is the smallest of the bases, and manages the plans and tech of the Crimson Organization. Their leader is tech whiz Glance, codename Necromus, who is an experienced fighter and hacker. Team Night will be me, Sol, and Azure, who are going to Lockdown Tower, the second biggest base and the prison of the Crimson Organization- where Felix is trapped. The leader there is Loki, codename Lockdown, who is an expert in trapping enemies in unfair battlefields.
Sabrina and Team Alpha arrived at Darkwood Forest. It looked like it was almost always night time, as the many trees blocked out most of the sunlight. “It’s so dark, I can barely see anything!” Brock complained, walking around. “It’s kind of peaceful, to be honest,” Sabrina said. “Ok, ok, but where’s the base? All I see is trees, trees, and more trees.” Surge asked. “Apparently, Raven says it’s a huge hollow tree stump.” Sabrina replied. “I see one right there!” Brock pointed at a big tree stump in a clearing in the forest. “I’d say that’s the one,” Surge agreed, and they all hopped into the tree stump.
The Necromus Base was very different from the dark forest outside. It was bright and there were lots of high-end lights and lots of state-of the art tech. However, the group didn’t see anyone, until three Crimson Organization guards, all wearing their black and red outfits, jumped down from the ceiling.
Meanwhile, Team Night was at the Lockdown Base. It was a huge grey tower made up of lots of stone blocks that had an oversized lock on its gate. It looked like it was impossible to get in. Sol noticed a crack on the side of the tower “We might be able to get in through that crack,” Sol suggested, pointing to a crack in the stone wall. “Ok! That seems good!” Raven agreed, and they neared the crack. Right when Sol stepped over the crack, an alarm blared. It was a trap! Five Crimson Organization guards all attacked Sol, Raven, and Azure at once. They all lept in their battle positions. Sol fired off some Sun Blasts combined with Fire energy, easily taking out a grunt, and Raven used her knives to easily take down two at once, with Azure shooting his bow and easily sniping the rest of the grunts. After they defeated the grunts, the group stepped in, and it was silent for a moment- before chaos ensued.
Back at the Necromus base, Brock pulled out his new, shiny Rocket Launcher and shot down a guard, while Sabrina used her psychic powers to take down another one, repeatedly throwing him up and down with psychic energy. Surge with his sword sliced one more guard, feeling fired up. They then walked through the seemingly empty Necromus base. However, when they got to the second floor, they were ambushed by the entire Necromus Base crew- more than two dozen members, no doubt- these were trained fighters, so there was no way they could take down all of them. Brock lifted up his black glasses and grinned. He had a plan, and he was really excited about it. He threw down a smoke bomb he had recently purchased, and then fired several rockets into the mist. The group then ran further into the Necromus Base, with all the guards knocked out. “Easy! I knew those smoke bombs I bought would come in handy,” Brock said. “Well, you got something right for once,” Surge laughed, as they ran into the next room. The room darkened, and they saw a figure wearing a black coat and had brown hair and a sinister look. “Necromus…” Sabrina said to the base leader. “So you are not as incompetent as you seem, defeating all my agents at once.” Necromus said slyly. “Why are you doing this? It’s only causing pain and misery.” Surge said. “Power, money. I’ve been through enough pain and misery to know what it feels like. People have taken everything away from me, and now I need to take back.” Necromus explained. “Well, we can’t let you do that.” Brock said, and battle ensued.
Surprisingly, Necromus didn’t even stand up from the throne he was sitting in. He just opened his laptop, typed in some code, and a red barrier appeared. Brock’s rockets just bounced off, all of Surge’s weapons did nothing, and the barrier completely blocked Sabrina’s psychic power. With a tap of a button on Necromus’s laptop, several robots with guns spawned and started shooting at Sabrina. She leaped out of the way, but got shot by another robot, rendering her unconscious. “Sabrina!” Surge yelled, dodging some shots while the bots moved closer. Once the bots moved out of the protective area, Surge and Brock managed to defeat them, feeling pumped up, but Necromus just spawned more. Surge and Brock were getting tired when Brock noticed something. Whenever Brock and Surge defeated the bots, everything would disappear for a second because the bots were loading in for a second. So if he fired a rocket right as everything disappeared and broke Necromus’s laptop, they would win. He told the plan to Surge and started to distract the robots. “On the count of 3… 2… 1… NOW!” Surge whispered loudly, and as Necromus clicked a key for another wave of robots, a rocket blasted straight into his laptop, destroying the barriers and everything. Since Necromus had almost no fighting experience he tried to run, but Surge and Brock quickly caught him and they both grinned while Necrosis looked at them with a scared face and Sabrina was finally waking up. They had defeated the Necromus base.
Back at the Lockdown Tower, Sol had just finished clearing out the several Crimson Organization grunts that tried to ambush them. “Well that was easy,” “There’s probably more of them- the Crimson Organization won’t go down that easily- not to mention their team leader Lockdown is still hiding somewhere.” Raven said. “Let’s see, then.” Azure said, as they walked up the old rickety spiral stairs that lead up to the top of the tower. “Be careful, you never know where Crimson Organization agents could be!” Sol was wary of the dangers of the Crimson Organization, and was genuinely scared. They noticed that there were no lights, and the whole tower was more of a medieval design. It was decorated with suits of armor and Azure thought the place looked really nice. When they got to the top, still no sight of the leader. “Weird. Where is he? Gone or something?” Raven asked, seeing an empty floor. “Well, maybe they left or something. No enemies here, I see.” Azure observed. Just as he said that, three suits of armour started to move. “Enchanted suits of armour.” Sol grimaced. He had never faced these, but knew they were strong. Azure on the other hand felt pumped up and charged at one of the suits of armour. “No!” Sol yelled. “They’ll just regenerate!” As Azure’s sword struck the suit of armour, it instantly collapsed. “Easy!” Azure exclaimed, grinning. However, the suit of armour magically put itself together and kept attacking Azure. “What?!” Azure exclaimed, this time in fear. “I’ve got it! Those armour may be powerful, but they can’t see!” Raven threw several traps on the floor. The robots walked straight into them and trapped them in a titanium cage.
“Impressive,” a voice from across the room said. “You defeated my suits of armour, but if you want Felix back, you’ll have to get through me.” “Lockdown…” Sol said, but before they had a chance to attack, four walls trapped them. Luckily Sol then used his fire power to blast on the ground and rocket up. He then fired a few sun-powered blasts at Lockdown. He noticed when he caught him off guard, the walls he made fell down. “Looks like he has to be focused to create his walls. Someone, focus on distracting him!” Sol yelled, dodging another wall that was aimed to crush him. Azure threw down a smoke bomb and grinned. “Let me try out this new skill I developed!” When the smoke cleared, three Azures stood there. “Check out my new ‘Decoy’ skill!” All three Azures exclaimed. Lockdown took the decoys down one by one, but couldn’t find the real one- every time he defeated a decoy, another one spawned back. Sol realized this was his chance to act, and fired multiple sun blasts at Lockdown, making him fall to the floor. “Now’s our chance! Finish him! Raven launched a barrage of knives and Sol brandished his sword, but just as their attacks were about to hit, Lockdown let out a battle cry, and four walls formed around him, shielding him, and then walls burst out of the ground and surrounded everyone. “Behold my final move- True Lockdown!” Lockdown sneered, and lowered the 4 walls surrounding him. “Time to finish this! Collapse!” With a snap of his fingers, the walls made a loud cracking noise. The walls shifted a little, then BOOM! The walls started to collapse, aimed to crush Sol, Azure, and Raven. “Uh-oh…” Sol said, narrowly avoiding a falling wall, dust falling to the ground. Sol’s eyes grew wide as another wall, a brown one, fell near him, crippling a table, but Sol had no time to think. Another wall was falling right at him, as Sol just rolled out of the way. His red armour protected him from being crushed by another wall falling right next to him. Azure was having less success, running quickly, his blue hair blowing in the wind, dodging one wall, two walls, BOOM! A third wall managed to pin down his leg, rendering him unable to move. Raven jumped over a falling wall, thinking of a plan, scared that she could be crushed by the falling walls at any moment. She looked back, sweat falling down to her cheeks. Looking at Sol still trying to avoid the walls, and Azure pinned down on the ground, she then yelled “Teleporting Destruction!!!”. There was a big blast that drew in Sol and Azure, while destroying the back of the room, where Lockdown was. The blast teleported all three of them to the front of the room, safe from the walls, finally completely destroying all of Crimson Organization’s bases. They found Felix in a nearby cell, walking out, determined to defeat Crimson Organization once and for all.
